I have read it is necessary to sit in the midday sun for atleast 20~25 minutes four days a week to get adequate Vitamin D. Even my doctor had said something like 45 minutes for a few days everyday. But the sun exposure has darkened my skin in the uncovered areas like hands and face and it is undesirable. Is there a way to get Vitamin D without getting tanned? Or do you have to become dark skinned while doing so? I live in Delhi, India and I have a fair complexion.
