iOS/Testflight: possible to maintain multiple versions and builds simultaneously?

  • 0

[ad_1]

Is it possible to have numerous different versions and builds of an app in Testflight simultaneously (for customer preview/evaluations purposes) without potential issues, for example is the following situation ok:

  • App Store currently contains v4.0, build 2
  • Test Flight contains v4.1, build 3
  • Test Flight contains v4.1, build 4
  • Test Flight contains v4.2, build 1

The customer want to perform acceptance testing on v4.1,b3 prior to publication to the App Store, but they also want to evaluate a small tweak which was made to v4.1,b3 and which is within v4.1b4.
Meanwhile they also want to get an early preview of work in progress changes for a future release v4.2.

Q1) Is there any issue with having multiple simultaneous releases in Testflight like this?

Q2) If they decide they change their mind about the tweak in v4.1, build 4, and instead want to publish v4.1, build 3 to the App Store. Then there’s no problems with doing so – its possible to pick an earlier build within Testflight for publication to the App Store?
