What if any are the benefits to using SPM over the cocoapods dependency manager?
I’ve been using cocoapods for the longest time but I am hearing a lot of chatter around SPM and how it’s being used more frequently than cocoapods.
I also understand it’s not considered to be third-party and I am wondering if this aspect makes it safer? Does Swift manage Swift Package Manager itself and scan for malware / issues similar to Node Package Manager in web / backend development?
