On boot, syslogd sends a thousand packets over the network. Where is syslogd sending ip packets? Why? Mac OSX 10.15 Catalina. I see this traffic in Activity Monitor, right after mDNSResponder when I boot the machine with Activity Monitor enabled to start automatically.
If I had sufficient skills with OS X command line tools, is there a way for me to see the packets for myself?
Thanks for help on the newbie question. Apple Support community didn’t seem to recognize the question.
