visual studio – VS 2019 SSRS GIT can’t view report datasets after creating branch

  • 0

[ad_1]

I’m using Visual Studio Community 2019 to create SSRS reports and have just got started using GIT last month. This past week I have started getting this message below after creating a local GIT repository, then creating a new branch and making some minor change. After I COMMIT and then double click on the DataSet1 in the MASTER branch to view the SQL I get the odd message “The report editor did not behave correctly….”.

If I quit out of VS and reopen it, sometimes I can then view the DataSet1 code in the MASTER branch but then the DataSet1 in the new branch will give that message. It wasn’t doing this last month and now it’s unusable. I have uninstalled all traces of VS and reinstalled and added back the GIT for Windows VS extension but it keeps happening. I Google that message but find nothing. Anyone have any suggestions?
