I had this working with Windows 10 but I didn’t take notes for how I did it because I don’t remember it being complicated.
I created a monitor_sleep.txt file and in it is the line
nircmd.exe monitor off
(For simplicity I’m not showing the full path to nircmd.exe)
I then right clicked on that and changed its extension to .cmd then right clicked again and did a copy. Then on my desktop I did a paste shortcut. When I double click on the shortcut it makes the monitor sleep.
But when I right click on that shortcut I get neither Pin to Start nor Pin to taskbar in the menu.
Anyone know how I can pin it to the taskbar?
